The tracklist for The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping (The Album) is out, and it runs 29 tracks across a cross-genre lineup, according to mxdwn Music. The record arrives on November 13 through MCA, a week before Lionsgate's film opens in theaters everywhere on November 20, 2026. Pre-order is already live.
The lineup is the story here. Per mxdwn Music, the featured names include Ella Langley, Mckenna Grace, Noah Cyrus, Violet Grohl and Whitney Peak, among others, and the album is executive produced by Grammy-winning producer Dave Cobb, whose credits include Chris Stapleton and Sturgill Simpson. That is a country-anchored brief with plenty of room at the edges, and the tracklist honors it. Readers following this should also see Cannes 2026 Lineup: Balagov Opens, Almodovar and Farhadi Compete.
For readers tracking how soundtracks get assembled, the sequencing does some quiet work. Whitney Peak sings three separate numbered pieces — "The Raven I," "The Raven II" and "The Raven III" — spread across the running order at tracks 1, 6 and 12, plus "The Goose and The Common" at 18. A recurring character motif, threaded through the album rather than parked at the start, is the kind of structural detail that usually gets skipped in the headline coverage. We covered a connected angle in Upfront Week 2026: CBS Skipped the Party, and the Fall Schedule Followed.
The country and Americana weight is real. Kacey Musgraves appears with "Ruthless (Arena Mix)" at track 10, Stevie Nicks takes "Doing The Best That I Can (Arena Mix)" at 17, and Tyler Childers closes stretch duties with "Old Money" at 24. Lizzy McAlpine, Ella Langley, Madeline Edwards and Stephen Wilson Jr fill out the middle of the record. The "Arena Mix" labels on the Musgraves and Nicks cuts suggest versions cut specifically for the film's world rather than catalog tracks repurposed.
Then the edges. The Smashing Pumpkins contribute "Black Stars" at track 15, one of three previously released songs the announcement flags. Depeche Mode appear with KÁRYYN on "Survive (Arena Mix | KÁRYYN Rework)" at 19 — a rework credited to the remixer, which tells you something about how the producers wanted the film's sound to bend. And the final slot, track 29, goes to The Cure with "Alone (Live in Berlin 2022)," a live recording rather than a studio cut, which is an unusual choice for a soundtrack closer.
Three songs were already out before today's announcement. mxdwn Music reports that the lead single is Noah Kahan's "Draw You Out," followed by The Smashing Pumpkins' "Black Stars" and Gigi Perez's "Favor." All three sit in the tracklist at positions 27, 15 and 13 respectively. Kahan's single landing at 27, deep into the sequence, is a small tell about rollout strategy: the lead single does not have to open the record.
One more name will stop the scroll: Jennifer Lawrence, who sings "Deep in the Meadow" at track 26. The tracklist also gives Violet Grohl a full credit — "Metal Birds" at track 28 — rather than a cameo billing, alongside Mckenna Grace's "Half Alive" at 16 and Noah Cyrus's "Ash and Snow" at 2.
The commercial math is straightforward. An album of 29 tracks from 29 artists, released November 13, gives the film a week of streaming runway before the November 20 theatrical release. For the working musicians on the bill — the Sydney Roses, the Bella Kays, the Carter Faiths — a slot on a franchise soundtrack is the kind of credit that outlives the release cycle. What remains unknown is everything the announcement doesn't say: no per-track production credits beyond Cobb's executive role, no word on which songs score which scenes, and no note on whether more singles drop before November 13. The film's release on November 20 will answer the placement question soon enough.
